Our Belize private island restaurant serves a variety of Belizean and American-style dishes. Your typical daily menu consists of one of our delicious dishes for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Dessert is included with both lunch and dinner. Dinner is a three-course meal with a salad/soup, entree, and dessert.
Breakfast is served from 7:00 - 9:00 a.m. and includes coffee or tea, fresh juice, fresh tropical fruits as well as items such as eggs, bacon, sausage, fried jacks, toast, and journey cakes.
Lunch is served from 12:00 -1:30 pm and is typically a light dish such as fish and chicken tostadas, BLT sandwiches on homemade bread, or fish sere- a delicious, local Garifuna soup of fish fillets in coconut milk. Packed lunches are provided for guests on tours.
Dinner is served from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. and can include anything from fresh fish balls in red sauce with spaghetti to a traditional Belizean meal of stewed chicken, rice, and beans cooked in coconut milk, potato salad, and plantain slices.
We cater to any dietary needs. If you do have any food allergies or food preferences please let us know in advance so our cooks can be prepared with the necessary ingredients. We do encourage guests with special dietary preferences to bring a few of their favorite snacks and treats to keep in your cabana.

Our thatched-roof dining room sits out over the water. What a view for dining! You can enjoy the view from the extended covered porch any time of the day! The thatched-roof bar and restaurant were built by Mayan artisans and provide a large open gathering area with comfy lounge chairs. It is perfect for relaxing in the evening, enjoying a tropical drink, or a locally brewed beer after a day of adventures.
For just a little bit more, we can set up a romantic candlelight dinner served on the veranda of your cabana, at the end of the pier, or on the beach. Couples can enjoy the privacy and romance of a delicious three-course dinner for two served by our professional staff.

Snorkeling
Our Naughty Island provides a spectacular location from which to access thrilling snorkeling opportunities. You can easily kayak to many of these sites. You can also take boat tours to nearby patch reefs, mangrove habitats, underwater caves, and the Southern Barrier Reef.
Scuba Diving
The longest unbroken barrier reef (the Belize Barrier Reef) in the world is located only minutes away and offers some of the world's finest diving. The nearby coral atolls of Glovers contain outstanding and untouched dive areas. You do not want to miss Shark's Cave, it is an awesome sight!
Fishing
You can fly-fish for Bonefish and Permit on the nearby flats. You can cast or troll for Barracuda, Mackerel, Wahoo, Tarpon, and Grouper in the cuts along the reef. Your fishing possibilities here are endless and good fishing is available year-round.
Birding at nearby Man-O-War Caye
Located just 1/2 mile from our Naughty Island, Man-O-War Caye is a designated bird sanctuary. It is home to a variety of indigenous bird species, including Pelicans, Brown Booby birds, and Magnificent Frigate birds that soar in great numbers above the island.
Kayaking, Stand up Paddle Boarding, Hobie Cat Sailing
The calm, clear waters surrounding the island are ideal for all levels of water sports enthusiasts. Paddle or sail around the island or, to nearby Man-O-War Caye. Do a little island hopping, as there are several islands within a short distance from the Caye.
For more experienced athletes, visit the Barrier Reef, which is about four miles away. Watch for playful dolphins and manatees which are often sighted in our local waters. Water sports equipment is complimentary for guests. We also offer a Hobie Cat instructional course for an additional fee.

Jungle Hiking & Waterfall Tour
With over 50 percent of Belize covered by dense jungle and 80 percent of its rainforest remaining under protection, Belize has the most accessible jungle in the Western Hemisphere. It is home to several productive and thriving habitats harboring over 4,000 species of tropical flowers and over 500 species of birds. Two of the most popular hiking trails are located in southern Belize, just a few minutes away from the Belizean coast. The Cockscomb Basin Preserve is a 155 square mile reserve that was established to protect the local jaguar population. The Mayflower Bocawina National Park is a 7100-acre tropical haven of untouched jungles, waterfalls, and Mayan sites.
CAVE TUBING AND CANOPY ZIP-LINING TOUR
Adventure through the mysterious darkness of the Mayan underworld as you cave tube through our Belize rivers and zip-line through the jungle.
Our Cave Tubing and Canopy Zip-lining Tour start with a short hike in the heart of the Belizean wilderness. Upon arrival, you will be given a safety briefing and outfitted with a body harness, helmet, and gloves. Traverse from treetop to treetop, 80 feet above the forest floor, dangling from the steel cables of the zip-line. This tour includes five platforms ranging from 100 to 500 feet of flying!
Diving in Belize
Diving is not included, but if you are a diver, there are some amazing opportunities to dive while in Belize.
Imagine diving along the reef’s edge with nearby turtles, manta rays, or friendly nurse sharks. Here you can find shallow, clear coral gardens and reefs or steep drop-offs into the deep waters of the Caribbean. A natural aquarium teeming with marine life, there is always a wealth of underwater riches in our Caribbean paradise.

THE GREAT BLUE HOLE & LIGHTHOUSE REEF TOUR
Explore a contender of the eight wonders of the world, the Belize Blue Hole.
Located off the coast of Belize within the Lighthouse Reef Atoll, the Belize Blue Hole is a perfectly circular underwater sinkhole. What was previously a limestone cave system, is now one of the most unique natural creations known as the Belize Blue Hole. As sea levels rose during the last Ice Age, the cave flooded and its roof collapsed into this sinkhole resulting in a marine wonder known for its sparkling blue waters, a wealth of coral formations, sharks, and fish, and deep caves filled with stalactites.
WHALE SHARK DIVE
During this time many species of fish, specifically the mutton snapper, use the Gladden Split as a spawning area where they release their eggs. Here, we see whale sharks arrive to feed on these eggs. Whale sharks can be as long as 30 feet. Despite their gigantic size, whale sharks are known to be gentle and curious which makes for an interesting dive. When diving for whale sharks you will also see huge schools of fish along this 26-mile long stretch.
This 2-tank dive site can be reached quite easily from Hopkins as it is located along the Southern Coast of the Belize reef.

The islands along the Belize Barrier Reef are too numerous to name. They include three of the four coral atolls in the Caribbean: Lighthouse Reef (location of the famous diving site the Great Blue Hole), Turneffe Island, and Glover's Reef.
Turneffe Reef Atoll is the largest atoll in Belize, about 30 miles long and 10 miles wide. Unlike the other atolls in Belize that are a collection of sandy Cayes.
Glover’s Reef is the southernmost atoll in Belize and is a protected marine reserve and UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Frequently Asked Questions
+ IS THERE DEPARTURE TAX WHEN LEAVING BELIZE?
Answer: Yes. However, sometimes this departure tax is included in your international airfare ticket. It is best to check with the airline when purchasing your ticket. The total international departure fee is approximately $38 US payable in cash only.
+ WHEN IS THE RAINY SEASON?
The rainy season traditionally runs from June to November. On the cays, the rainy season is usually manifested in squalls, leaving plenty of time for all your activities. If it rains too much in the rainforest, then some of the hiking trips on the mainland tours may be a bit challenging. We are flexible and if we consider an inland tour too dangerous, we will substitute it for an activity on or around the island.
+ ARE THERE BUGS ON THE ISLAND?
Keep in mind that when you travel to the tropics, bugs (mosquitoes and sand flies) can be expected. We have been able to curtail the sand fly activity on the island but if you are sensitive to biting insects, it is advisable to bring insect repellant for use on the inland tours and for use on the island as needed. You may also want to bring a citronella candle for your veranda in case the bugs are active.
+ HOW OFTEN DO THE TOUR BOATS LEAVE THE ISLAND FOR THE MAINLAND?
It will depend on which mainland tours are scheduled for that day.
+ WHAT IF I GET HUNGRY AFTER MEALS HAVE BEEN SERVED?
This is highly unlikely due to the generous portion size of the meals. We also serve complimentary afternoon bar snacks and generally have a pastry available mid-morning.
+ IS THERE DRINKING WATER ON THE ISLAND?
Yes, each cabana has a 5 gallon container of bottled water. We also serve bottled water and we provide purified water for tours and activities.
+ IS THERE ELECTRICITY ON THE ISLAND?
Yes, we have a generator which runs 24 hours a day. The outlets are just like yours in the US (110v)!
+ ARE GRATUITIES INCLUDED IN THE PACKAGE PRICE?
The package rates do not include gratuities. We have developed a suggested gratuities guide in response to guest feedback. Please bear in mind that it is meant only as a guide for you. The actual amount is left totally to your discretion and dependent upon the quality of service. We suggest $250 per couple for a six to seven night stay for the entire staff. Operating our Naughty Island is a team effort which involves a lot of behind-the-scenes staff along with our awesome front line personnel. We ask that if you choose to leave a gratuity, you leave the entire amount on your signed invoice and pay for it with cash or credit card at check-out. Gratuities are pooled every two weeks and distributed by head office upper management.
+ IS WI-FI OFFERED ON NAUGHTY ISLAND
Complimentary wireless internet service is available to guests the Island Resort. However, reception is better on some parts of the island versus others. Furthermore, our system is dependent on the local telephone companies and telecommunications in developing countries are far from optimal. Therefore, we ask that you download music, books, movies, etc prior to coming to the island so you can enjoy listening, reading, watching without interruption. You may also want to alert you family and friends that internet may not be available 24/7 so they will not be worried you don't reply to their texts or emails immediately.
+ CAN I USE MY CELL PHONE IN BELIZE?
If you want to make calls to the U.S. from your cell phone, we suggest that you call your cell phone provider and ask for international roaming (there is a monthly fee). Guests who use Sprint, Cingular, and T-Mobile have done this and it works well.
+ WHAT TYPE OF GOVERNMENT DOES BELIZE HAVE?
Belize is a parliamentary democracy. The government is headed by the prime minister Honorable Dean Barrow, while the nominal head of state is Queen Elizabeth II, who is represented by a governor-general (Sir Colville Young). Belize was a British colony in the late 19th century. In 1964, it became self-governing and independence followed in 1981. Belmopan is the capital. The population of Belize is approximately 279,000.
+ WHAT CAN I EXPECT UPON MY ARRIVAL IN THE BELIZE CITY AIRPORT?
The process once you arrive at BZE is very simple! The airport has 3 huge rooms - one for arriving passengers, one for departing passengers and one for the airline counters. In one room you will go through Immigration and Customs. When you exit, tell the person at the door that you need to catch a Maya Island Air flight and they will point you to the room on the left where the departing airlines counters are situated.
When you land at the Dangriga airport, you will be greeted by a member of the Naughty staff. It is a very small airport and very few people deplane, so recognizing you is not a problem. From there you will be driven to the boat dock (about a 10 minute drive) where you will be taken on a 30 minute boat ride to the island.
+ DO I NEED A PASSPORT TO TRAVEL TO BELIZE?
A valid passport for citizens of the U.S., Britain, Canada, Australia, Hong Kong, Mexico, New Zealand, Norway, Venezuela, CARICOM member states, nationals of European Community countries is all that is required. Belize requires citizens from the following countries to have an entry visa: China, Cuba, Columbia, Honduras, Haiti, South Africa, Taiwan, India, and Libya and more. + DO I NEED TO BRING BELIZE CURRENCY?
No, U.S. dollars are accepted everywhere in Belize, but not U.S. coins. It is best to bring smaller denominations as change in US currency may be limited. The majority of all hotels, restaurants and shops in the major towns and tourist areas accept major credit cards. Street vendors and smaller establishments in remote areas may accept only cash.
We accept MasterCard, Visa, Discover, and American Express. We gladly accept U.S. currency at the resort.
+ WHAT IS THE MONETARY EXCHANGE IN BELIZE?
The Belize dollar has an exchange rate of roughly two Belize dollars to one U.S. dollar. It is your responsibility as a traveler to a foreign country to investigate these variances/fees. The Resort will not issue refunds for any currency variances and /or bank fees.
+ WHEN IS CHECK-IN TIME?
Check-in time is 2:00 pm and check-out time is 11:00 am, but if there is a boat leaving the island at a later time you can take it!
+ WHAT IF I AM NOT FLYING INTO DANGRIGA?
Some guests stay with us after (or before) visiting a hotel or resort on the mainland. In those instances, ask your hotel to drop you off at our Dangriga office. It is best to have your hotel call the resort's Dangriga office (M-F 8:00am-12:00pm, 1:30pm-5:00pm-Belize time) at 522-2200 (local Dangriga number) the day prior to your arrival to arrange a drop-off time.
The directions to the office are as follows: The office is located at 3 miles on the Stann Creek Valley Road, on the right side of the road if you are driving to Dangriga from Belmopan. The office is a 2-story, blue and white cement building. There is a boat repair yard located just before our office which is also on the right side.
+ AM I RESPONSIBLE FOR BOOKING MY FLIGHT FROM BELIZE CITY TO DANGRIGA?
No! Once you have made your reservations with us, we will be happy to make the appropriate local flight reservations for you, just e-mail us your international flight itinerary. The cost of the local round trip flight to and from the international airport in Belize City and Dangriga is approximately $161.50 US per person and flight time is approximately 20 minutes. We generally book this local flight the month prior to your arrival.
+ IS INTERNATIONAL AIRFARE INCLUDED IN THE PACKAGE RATE?
No, we do not include the international airfare from your home town to Belize in the package rates.
+ WHICH AIRLINES FLY TO BELIZE CITY?
Belize City is only a two-hour flight from Miami, Houston, or Dallas. There are daily flights offered to and from these cities.

Special Note: Be sure to schedule your international flight to arrive in Belize City (BZE) by 3:30 p.m. Why? The last flight from Belize City to Dangriga departs between 4:30 p.m. and 5:00pm.
+WHAT ARE THE BELIZE CAYS?
In Belize, a ‘cay’ is an island. The Naughty Island is on a series of Belize Cays. People in different parts of the world also spell Cay as Caye but it is always pronounced as "key" (as in Key West).
+ WHERE IS DANGRIGA?
Dangriga, the largest town in the Stann Creek District, is located 55 miles from Belmopan (the Capital) and 105 miles from Belize City. With a population of 8,100, it is one of the largest Garifuna (or Black Carib) communities in the world. Dangriga takes its name from the local Garifuna language, loosely meaning ‘here, the sweet water is close at hand.’ It lies peacefully along the banks of the North Stann Creek River, whose water is legendary. The town's drinking supply is refreshingly cool and arguably the best tasting in Belize. The town's dreamy atmosphere still harks back to a past age. + WHERE IS THE RESORT?
Our Naughty Island Resort is located just off the coast of Belize, on a privately owned 16 acre cay. It is one of the three cays of the Belize Island Range. It is the only facility on the cay and is just eight miles off the coast of the culturally-rich, southern coastal town of Dangriga. The Island is a quick 10-minute boat ride from Belize’s amazing Barrier Reef where you can enjoy fabulous snorkeling and diving and it is only a 30-minute boat ride from the mainland, giving guests the option to participate in mainland adventure tours.
+ WHAT IS THE BOAT TRANSFER SCHEDULE BETWEEN DANGRIGA AND THE ISLAND?
The boat leaves Dangriga for Coco Plum at 1:00PM and 5:00PM. The boat leaves the Island for Dangriga at 8:00AM and 11:00AM.
+ ARE MASSAGES AVAILABLE ON THE ISLAND?
Yes we offer open air Swedish and Deep Tissue massages on the beach as well as in the privacy of your cabana.
+ WHAT IS THE MINIMUM AGE REQUIREMENT?
We are an adults-only private island resort. The minimum age of our guests is 21.
