It's the people...

People ask me all the time what the best part of different lifestyle and clothing-optional resorts is because I have been to so many of them. No matter which resort, the answer is simple;

The people.

You can have the best resort, fanciest rooms, top-shelf liquor, and great staff, but what if the rest of the people at the resort are not your kind of people? I don’t care how nice the place is, you will ALWAYS have a better time with people you like, people into the same things, and people you know.

So here are our Top Five Tips for making sure you have the best experience at a lifestyle event, cruise, or resort:

  1. Bring a group of friends. It’s not as hard as you think. Plan your trip out one year in advance, find the best deals (flight, hotels, event fees, etc… and then send that info to ALL of your friends. Tell them they have to go. Don’t take no for an answer. Guilt them, use any advantage to talk them into it. If you invite 25 couples, ten of them might come. That’s still 20 people that you are going to have a blast with. Just remember, the more you invite, the more likely you will get a group of friends to join you (and invite them early on, so they have time to plan. You create your own party.

  2. Look for established groups that are already going. There are cool groups that already go to events like Naughty N’awlins, Hedonism, and Desire. Check out the group sections online and see who you feel might be compatible with. Is it the Pandas? The Young & Sexy Group, an Eye Candy takeover, a week with IOS Connections? Find your people, they are already out there and you will fit in, you just need to find them.

  3. Go online to search lifestyle websites to find people like yourself who are already booked for a trip. There are lots of Facebook groups that are specifically for Secrets in Kissimmee, or Desire where you can post a photo of yourselves and what you are looking for. Others will post their photos and what they are looking for. Once you find some couples you are interested in, start chatting them up and when you get to the resort or event, you will already know a bunch of the people there.

  4. Use online chats like Facebook Messenger, KIK, Whatsapp, and other chat options for established groups. Recently we found some Facebook Messenger chats for people going to Temptation Grand Miches and we had some questions that people who were just there were able to answer. We even coordinated our transfers with another couple who was arriving at the airport around the same time as us.

  5. If you are going to any Naughty Events, go to our Naughty Members area and create a detailed profile with photos and videos. Use the “About Us” and the “Seeking” areas to paint a clear picture of who you guys are and what you are looking for. Then start doing profile searches, liking photos, and reaching out to others who are going. You can even set up dates (dinner or playdates) in advance with people you click with. The more you post, the more likely you are to be noticed. If you attended a previous year, consider making a “missed connection” post.

How much you enjoy a resort will vary from week to week, as different people visit, but you really can make a big difference if you put in a little work ahead of time. Especially if you are looking to meet others and get to know them better. If your goal is hooking up, then it becomes even more important, but just having people at the pool to talk to and hang out with can make or break your vacation.

So next time, make sure you either bring some friends or take some time to search out some new potential friends before heading out on your vacation, and your lifestyle trip will be a Naughty success.
