Resort Staff review at Temptation Miches and Temptation Grand Miches

When putting together a review for a clothing-optional, lifestyle-friendly resort, most people focus on the clothing-optional areas, the pools, jacuzzis, and the places people can play (playrooms). But one thing that is often overlooked is the staff.

Resorts are just a collection of buildings made with cement, wood, paint, and other materials. What brings these resorts alive are the people who greet you, wait on you, entertain you, and they are the ones who really make your experience positive or negative.

The third factor is the other guests at the resort, and it can change week by week, but the staff is usually the constant that doesn’t change like the other guests. In this review, we are going to talk about the staff at Temptation Miches and Temptation Grand Miches in the Dominican Republic.

The staff at both Temptation Grand Miches and Temptation Miches are really fantastic. In our opinion, they did a fantastic job, especially for such a new resort. 

Some of the rooms come with a butler, and the first thing one of our butlers did after introducing himself was to show us a QR code on his phone that we could scan so we could add him as a contact. He told us to reach out to him morning, noon, or night with any request we wanted, and he would take care of us.

An example of great service

In the morning, we told our butler we were going over to Temptation Miches (from Temptation Grand Miches) to have dinner that night, and literally five minutes before we were about to leave, he texted us asking if we wanted him to drive us over to the other resort. It’s like he was reading our minds - or, more so - anticipating our needs. That is what a great butler does.

We went to dinner, and afterward, we decided to go home so we could change into our costumes for the theme nights. As we started to change, I noticed the Jacuzzi had been filled, and there were tons of bubbles. We immediately jumped in and had an amazing half an hour in the Jacuzzi. We laughed and played with bubbles and had an amazing time—a very unexpected surprise.

That’s what great butlers do.

We still made it to the show on time and enjoyed the Madonna tribute show at Temptation Grand Miches, and then we went over to see the Latin night at Temptation before coming back to Grand so we could hang out in the sensual Jacuzzi late at night.

The next day he surprised us with a chocolate sculpture and some champagne. He sent out some clothes to be cleaned, made reservations for dinner, and put in an aroma diffuser next to the bed that smelled great.

For those who have never had a butler on a cruise or at a high-end resort, you don’t know what you’re missing. The level of service we found was outstanding, and you will never want a normal vacation again after staying at a high-end resort like Temptation Grand Miches.

But it’s not just our butler; it’s the chefs, the waiters, the people at the café, and especially the bartenders who work their butts off at all-inclusive, adults-only resorts.

Bartenders

One of the most frequent questions we see asked in group chats is what kinds of alcohol does each resort serve and we were pleased that the “call” brands were pretty good and those staying at Temptation Grand Miches got some upgraded options.

Bartenders introduced guests to Mamajuana - Dominica Republic’s national drink, which varies from region to region and bottle to bottle. We found different flavors at different bars. Some of us LOVED this drink, a combination of red wine, honey, rum, and local wood bark and herbs.

We loved that the bartenders spent time introducing guests to this national liquor, and they were eager to keep the drinks flowing. When someone on our team asked for something not kept at the pool bar, the bartenders went and got a bottle and remembered their request throughout the week.

Going the extra mile, always smiling, and knowing how to make drinks are some things that can make or break a vacation.

A Resort lives and dies by its employees. We have been to beautiful resorts that had terrible employees, and we have been to mediocre resorts that had wonderful employees. When you find a resort that is both beautiful and has the best people, then you have found your home.

The Playmakers

There are no employees at the resort more important than the Playmakers - the entertainment staff at all Desire and Temptation Resorts (both in Mexico and the Dominican Republic).

The Playmakers are the entertainment team who get the party started during the day at the pool, theme parties, and late into the night.

I swear these people work morning, noon, and night, and they are a big reason people come back time after time; Temptation & Desire Resorts has one of the highest repeat guests percentages of any resort.

While we tried to take some photos, there’s a strict no-photos policy at the resorts, and while we had permission to take some photos, we didn’t want to put any regular guests in the background or violate anyone’s privacy.

So, while we have a few photos of The Playmakers here, hanging out with our staff, we can’t show you the foam party at the pool, which was amazing, or the sexy contests, naked pool volleyball, and all of the other amazing events that The Playmakers orchestrate.

Restaurant Staff

We spent time eating at all the restaurants, and the overall quality was above average but could improve in a few areas. The room service was a very limited menu, and we hope that improves in the future. Some of the nights were hit and miss, even at the same restaurant, but with the management being new, we think it will improve.

Overall, we were very happy with the food quality and the service, but there is always room to improve.

Most of the staff spoke at least some English, but I think it will also help to train more employees who already speak better English to maintain a solid customer base in the US, Canada, and the UK.

We were very happy with the service overall, and we can’t wait to go back and see some of our favorite Temptation staff.
